Why isn't the new Duncan Press chart the same size as the "Old Green Map?" Why is it so much bigger?

I've heard this question so often! Actually, the size of the 2nd and 3rd edition of the Lake Winnipesaukee charts are approximately the same as the Old Green Map. The 1st edition was large, it's true, but subsequent editions were not.

The 2nd and 3rd editions are printed both sides, and maybe that's where the myth is coming from.
